About Doyle Carter, the Candidate
Doyle Carter is an experienced statesman with a Conservative Philosophy. He served on The Jacksonville City Council For District 12 from 1999-2003 and held over 49 Town Meetings. During this time he served on Redistricting Committee, as Chair of the Rules Committee, 1999 & 2003 and the Sheriff’s Advisory Committee.
He’s received the Charlie Webb Award and the Little Guy Award from LUZ Chair, Councilwoman Self.
Fiscal Conservative
- Record of fighting for lower millage rates, property taxes, every year on the Council
- Co-Sponsored Bill for Senior Citizens for extra homestead, $25,000
- Less red tape from government for small business owners
- Look at all aspects of city government and eliminate the thing we don’t need
Fighting for the Westside
Infrastructure For Westside
- A Library on the Westside (Chaffee Road)
- New Fire Station on Westside – Station 57 on Beaver Street
- Fought with our other Westside Council Members for roads and road repairs
- Lobbied in Washington for the infrastructure to create jobs at Cecil Field, received millions for the infrastructure
- Worked to get Equestrian Center, community pool and softball field at Cecil Field
- Worked on MPO Transportation Committee to get the roadway access to I-10 for Cecil Field moved up, which we now have
- Started a bill to fix sidewalks
