About Doyle Carter
The Family
A fifth generation and 55 year resident of District 12, Doyle Carter has lived on the Westside of Jacksonville all his life. Doyle graduated from Ed White Senior High School and owned and operated Cycle Accessories West, a successful Westside business for over 29 years. He has been married to his beautiful wife, Trish, for 24 years and they have three children.
Doyle was elected to the City Council in the spring of 1999 and served until 2003. He decided at the time to not seek a second term because he wanted to spend time coaching his kids’ sports teams and tend to his motorcycle shop. His kids are now grown up and has since sold his motorcycle shop. Now he’s ready to return to his passion for public service.
Commitment to community is a way of life for Doyle.
